St Patrick’s day is celebrated all around the world, and Nore Valley Park is no exception!
St Patrick lived between 385 – 461 AD, and is the patron saint of Ireland. He is famed for being the founder of Christianity in Ireland, as well as for banishing all the snakes out of Ireland and into the sea. However, there are some snakes which are rumoured to have hidden away in Kilkenny and only emerge in the springtime.
We invite you to bring your family to join us for our Annual St Patrick’s Day Snake Hunt, and finish the job Paddy started!
The snake hunt takes place from 17th – 19th March, between 10am-4pm
This is a free event, although normal farm entry applies.
If you are searching for things to do in Kilkenny, or for a fun family day out, look no further. For an educational experience of visiting a working farm, to the fun activities on offer (tractor and trailer ride, pedal go-karts and crazy golf are available at additional cost), everyone young and old and in between will enjoy their day out in Kilkenny.
